Summer Shadows Shawl Pattern

This ephemeral shawl is lightweight and can be easily modified for a wider or longer piece. Drapey, smooth organic cotton/soy swaths of stockinette are increasingly interrupted by shadows of silky mohair to gradually return to uninterrupted, smooth, stockinette. The entire piece is bordered by seed stitch. Pictured: Baby Soft in color 401 Cerulean Blue and Urth Bonmoher in BL20.

Finished Size: 20” x 45” blocked

Materials:

Yarn A: 3 balls of Laines du Nord Baby Soft 50% organic cotton/50% soybean fiber, 147 yards/50 gram ball.  Each ball is 137 yards; approximately 822 (1,644) total yards.

Yarn B: 1 skein of Urth Yarns Bonmoher 60% Super Kid Mohair/40% Silk, 262 yards/25 gram skein

You will also need US 6, 24" circular needles or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 20 stitches to 4 inches
