Michael Filmus lived and painted in the Berkshires for many years. Filmus' landscapes are in private, corporate and museum collections Including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Butler Institute of American Art and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Prior to Michael's passing in July 2024, he had exhibited his work in one man shows at the Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield and at the Stockbridge train station in Stockbridge.
We are pleased to have a group of painted boxes done by Michael Filmus which repurposes various vintage cigar boxes and larger, vintage wooden boxes and chests.
